The Minority Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (MCC) is a National Business Association non-profit organization. We are membership-driven and our core mission includes business education, networking, and facilitating trade and investment worldwide. The Chamber was incorporated on September 1, 2001. The MCC was originally founded by fourteen local Minority business owners lead by Doug Mayorga, as a vehicle through which to promote, maintain and sustain economic progress for Minority-owned business enterprises in the Miami Dade County area. The MCC also serves as a medium for ensuring the participation of these enterprises in the overall business and economic development plans of the area. The MCC is a voluntary action and advocacy organization compromised of individuals and businesses which have come together for the primary purpose of advancing the commercial, financial, industrial, educational, preservation, and civic interest of the Minority business community. The Chamber serves five county areas, which include Broward, Palm Beach, Orange, Monroe and Miami Dade counties. Current on-going programs include: educational management seminars and workshops, financing option information, marketing services, referral services, networking opportunities, MBE/WBE city/state requirements, contract bid and planning room, emergency preparedness activities, trade missions, job fairs, and attractions of the urban core.

Topics to be presented at the high profile conference will range from security digital assets to how to prevent a cyber-attack.

Miami, Florida. January 5, 2017. The Minority Chamber of Commerce will host a Cyber Security Miami Conference on January 27, 2017 at the Hotel Intercontinental, city of Doral in Miami Dade County, Florida from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The high level premier Cyber Conference is aimed at helping businesses of all sizes to develop and the diverse industries, evaluate, and strengthen their cybersecurity programs, explore in many ways and connect with law enforcement community before cyber incidents occur.  The conference will also include a panel looking at the government of law enforcement with the private sector, and the financial service industry's perspective on cyber security.  In addition, topics will include looking insight how all businesses, large or small, can secure their information as well as their customer’s profile.

Cyber Security Miami  Conference 2017 with impressive guest speakers to includes:  Mr. Kevin Parker, FBI south Florida’s representative in Cyber Attack, Mr. Jorge Rodriguez from Federal Reserve Bank, Mr. Rob Vazquez, Chairman of the Cyber Attack Committee of the Minority Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Steve Detwiler Miami Dade County Emergency and Preparedness office,  among others local leaders.
The premier event will present an unparalleled opportunity for local companies in cyber-threat spanning half days with more than 10 distinguished speakers from government, the private sector, and business leaders at the Chamber. Each will bring unique insights from their expertise in the disciplines of emerging technologies, operations and enforcement, digital asset protection, and pragmatic experience, and law enforcement to coordinate their efforts to create a more secure business.
“Local businesses in South of Florida are concerned over the strength and comprehensiveness of cyber security in their economies, as companies across our counties are being targeted in cyber-attacks at an increasing rate of both occurrence and cost”, said Doug Mayorga, CEO of the Minority Chamber of Commerce, “the high level conference will bring together top experts from federal government, law enforcement, and the private sector to discuss how to navigate the cyber security framework , give business owners tools and tips for strengthening their cybersecurity programs”.

About the Cybersecurity Conference: To educate and produce a multi-stakeholder consortium that brings together industry, government and local business leaders interests in an effort to improve the local companies of cyber security on both a domestic and international level. The main goal is to discuss information on how to protect local business from one of the greatest threats facing almost every business in the world today, there is something for every business, regardless of size or industry.
